Governor Newsom of California announced, perhaps two weeks ago, a new forum for volunteering: Californians for All.
The premise is that many people are struggling right now, many people also have the desire to do help, many organizations need added support–so how do we ensure those in need get help, those that can help know where to go, and those that need more volunteers find them? The answer: Californians for All.
It’s simple. Provide basic information. Check off interests and abilities. Wait for a response from a local network that needs your specified support.
I loved this idea. I loved that it was a one-stop shop.
There is so much need, and we all have something to offer. If you’re in California, consider signing up–remember: in giving, we gain.
